The Sr Manager, Business Development is a key player on the Digital Experiences Business Development team, responsible for developing and ensuring the execution of Disney s Digital Experiences commercial strategy, identifying and securing incremental revenue opportunities and overseeing select relationships in the technology sector.The Sr Manager will be responsible for account management for some of our key distribution channels across the Audio and Visual space within the Digital Experiences portfolio. This position will expand content across multiple platforms/distribution channels and secure deals/relationships that make a significant impact on the success of the organization.?The person in this role will be responsible for account management and business development for some of our key accounts such as Amazon and Google. This person will maintain critical account relationships, develop new business opportunities, and achieve annual revenue objectives.This role will report to the Director, Business Development.ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development

  • Incubate and grow Digital Experiences through licensed and distribution agreements, new content formats, and connected devices in multiple Connected Consumer Electronics categories (e.g. Audio, Licensed App Development, connected products, etc).
  • Using market analysis, develop recommendations and inform the strategic direction of Disney content across Digital Experiences & emerging technology.
  • Establish and maintain a deep understanding of the voice, smart wearables, app/online platforms and physical + digital ecosystem(s), providing executive leadership with perspective on the evolving market dynamics.
  • Evaluate and drive new business development opportunities with a portfolio of technology partners, owning and managing the relationships end to end.
  • Analyze, model and structure optimal deal parameters and terms for new business partners in collaboration with Finance and leadership.
  • Work closely with and manage the competing needs of multiple Disney stakeholders in order to close high impact deals from start to finish within a large complex organization, gaining support through collaboration.Account Management
    • Develop industry-best strategic relationships with accounts to ensure optimal business results and commercial value.
    • Monitor sales activity, flag areas for improvement, and identify new revenue opportunities within partnership.
    • Competitively maintain a disproportionate share of storefront featuring to drive revenue.
    • Thorough understanding of all product and content offerings.
    • Own all revenue touch points at the account level.
    • Serve as account/platform expert within organization.
    • Serve as the business lead for the account while partnering internally with product, legal, accounting and finance to ensure all account needs are met.Basic Qualifications
      • 7+ years of extensive business development, sales, and/or account management experience (a preference for those with digital experience)
      • Strategic thinking and keen negotiating skills with direct experience negotiating third party relationships as principal with a deep understanding of the consumer electronics and digital sector.
      • Strong ability to comprehend structure and negotiate complex business agreements, with astute business and financial acumen and superior analytical skills.
      • High degree of quantitative and analytical experience in media or technology.
      • Ability to facilitate group sessions with cross-functional teams, form relationships with stakeholders, and build consensus.
      • Excellent project management skills and ability to manage multiple, time-sensitive projects with competing demands for resources.
      • Excellent at presenting diverse information in a clear, concise manner with a data supported point of view.
      • Experience building strong, strategic relationships and navigating the complexity of a large corporation.
      • An understanding of IP ownership, legal contracts and the ability to work with internal and external legal teams.
      • Fluency in business-critical applications: Word, Excel, Keynote, Outlook, Powerpoint
      • Ability to perform duties under minimal supervision while exercising discretion and independent, sound judgment.
      • Must excel in a fast-paced, results-oriented work environment.Preferred Qualifications
        • Excellent strategic and creative thinking, with particular emphasis on evaluating new opportunities and changing marketplace and media consumption dynamics.
        • Experience working in a corporate strategy or business development group/function in a leading media or technology corporation.
        • Track record in conceptualizing, establishing and building new businesses.
        • Experience in digital or multiplatform business development.Education
