Job Description:

1-3 years of ocean import experience at a freight forwarding company is required. Strong understanding of international shipping freight terms and process, bills of lading and cargo release is a must.Proficiency in Spanish or Korean will be useful. No need to be fluent in the mentioned languages, but a willingness to communicate in above languages on occasion with those outside of our workplace will be beneficial.Well-rounded with ability to handle import ocean (FCL & LCL) cargo, management of multiple accounts/clients and ability to arrange local deliveries if necessary while working/communicating with customs brokers, warehouses and trucking companies is a must. Clear written communication via email and knowledge of MS Word/Excel is required.Detail oriented documentation with personal initiative to review shipping documents, follow-up with steamship lines, customers, customs brokers & truckers and overseas partners is a necessity.COVID-19 precautions* Personal protective equipment (masks/hand sanitizers) provided & required at all times.* Social distancing guidelines set in place* Sanitizing, disinfecting, or cleaning procedures in placeHand sanitizers & masks are readily available for everyone in our office.
