Job Description:
You will lead a team of architects and facility designers that
support project work at the Disneyland Resort. This Owners
Representative role provides technical architectural expertise in
collaboration with facility engineering disciplines to complete
design and construction projects. The manager will also develop
architectural resources and expertise needed to meet all Resort
demands.
You will report to the Director, Architecture and Facilities
Engineering.
Responsibilities :
You Will
- Lead a team of architects and facility designers responsible
for developing technical designs that meet our client's
requirements of quality, budget, and schedule.
- Lead the group direction and workload through architects and
facility designers as direct reports. Build relationships with our
Facility Operations Services (FOS) clients; Facility Asset
Management, Engineering Services, Design & Engineering, Operations,
Entertainment, and WDI to ensure work is being prioritized
correctly.
- Partner with peer managers within the FAM A&FE team to
apply resources in promoting consistency and optimization of
workload.
- Lead the team to develop staffing plans and recruiting. Mentor
architects and facility designers on career development, technical
efforts, training and workflow.
- Provide resource loading, budget development, and management of
the department.
- Establish regular reporting to monitor progress of workload,
resources, and budgets. Accountable for cast member performance
management process.
- You will lead a team of between 9 and 12 Cast Members.
Basic Qualifications :
You Will Have
- Minimum 10 years' experience in architecture
- 5 years of proven Leadership experience of technical groups and
multidiscipline teams
- Prior experience in multi-faceted architectural design
- Experience developing alternative design solutions that can be
implemented while facilities remain operational with limited
access
- Experience and ability to work in the field, gather relevant
data, assess current condition of facility and develop design
repair details to prolong an assets life
- Demonstrated knowledge on state and federal regulatory
requirements including California Building Codes and safety codes,
and application of codes on different project types
- Experience in Environmental Sustainability regulation, design
materials, systems, standards and application on projects
- Familiarity with Owners Representative role and applying
technical experience to support operations and maintenance goals of
an operating environment
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and other 3D modeling
software
Required Education :
- Bachelors of Architecture
- Professional Architecture License - California
Preferred Education :
- Masters Degree in Architecture
