their role. Position Summary The Director, Supply Chain Strategy is
a key position that will act as a "Hands On" Project Manager and
provide leadership for implementing a standardized network of
supply chain process from the point of origin to retail store
locations. Will create integrated processes among Sourcing,
Merchandising, Operations, Logistics, and outside suppliers to
execute the sourcing, planning, allocation, and replenishment
process. Will focus on eliminating waste throughout the supply
chain and creating visibility and efficiencies wherever possible.
With a solid overall supply chain management understanding and
expertise, this role may focus on inventory consolidation and
allocation, freight optimization and distribution functions. Ideal
candidate will know supply chain strategies/process from point A to
point Z. Experienced Director Supply Chain Strategy with degree in
Supply Chain preferred. Position Description Essential Duties and
Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be
assigned. * Establish structure to organize and manage initiatives
of supply chain strategy * Develop baseline of current supply chain
practices to implement sourcing strategies and objectives in
support of the business unit * Implement best in class supply chain
technology and infrastructure suitable to the scope and size of the
business, as well as scale for future growth * Determine overall
optimal supply chain processes for Living Spaces across all
products and markets * Develop, implement and manage the requisite
disciplines and skill sets that underlie an optimal supply chain
operation as well as the ultimate organizational structure for its
successful ongoing execution * Provide strategic leadership in the
development and implementation of company-wide materials on
logistics policies and procedures as well as regulatory compliance
* Establish key performance metrics and benchmarks to measure the
success of the materials and logistics initiatives. Results against
goals will be measured on a regular basis and presented to senior
leadership * Assist in the development of annual supply chain
budgets in accordance with the overall strategy to achieve company
goals * Support site management on major fulfillment issues,
implement program modifications within contracts and support
business units to meet company requirements * Support inventory
strategy execution and implement best practice S&OP (Sales and
Operations Planning) process. Ensure overall capacity is secured
throughout the network * Develop and maintain supplier and material
spend database and drive site performance on inventory goals and
targets * Leverage best practices where opportunities arise across
all business units and drive compliance as defined by Supply Chain
operation * Ensure that supporting project initiatives in key areas
of the business are on time and on budget * Ability to present
supply chain strategy to executive leadership steering team *
Excellent strategic problem solving, negotiation & analytical
skills; strong business acumen * Ability to influence and
communicate effectively with all levels of employees * Demonstrated
ability of managing cost performance, supply chain/demand
forecasting and distribution execution across product lines from
multiple sources * Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional
projects at an enterprise level * Ability to self-initiate and
prioritize workload to meet goals and objectives on time and on
budget * Ability to analyze information effectively and
consistently * Engage in the high-performance culture of Living
Spaces characterized by high integrity, efficiency, productivity,
teamwork, collaboration, innovation and camaraderie Qualifications
Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B. S.) or
equivalent from four-year college in supply chain management or
related field is preferred. 10+ years of experience in a Senior
Management position with success in business improvement and supply
chain leadership including a background that includes complex
organization change and management and leading teams in multiple
location distribution centers, manufacturing and retail with a high
volume of products. Equivalent combination of education and
experience will be considered. Computer Skills: To perform this job
successfully, an individual must be proficient in Microsoft Office
(Word, Excel, and Outlook), Project Management tools and AX system
preferred. Certificates and Licenses: None required Supervisory
Responsibilities: This position will manage a team of 4-7 team
members. Develop and execute the company's business strategies in
order to attain the goals of the board and shareholders. Provide
strategic advice so direct reports will have accurate view of the
market and the company's future. Prepare and implement
comprehensive business plans to facilitate. Ensure company policies
and legal guidelines are communicated all the way from the top down
in the company and that they are followed at all times. Communicate
and maintain trust relationships with shareholders, business
partners, and authorities. Able to delegate responsibilities and
supervise the work of direct reports providing guidance and
