Systems sector is seeking a Principal Cyber Systems Engineer/Sr.
Principal Cyber Systems Engineer? to join our team of qualified,
diverse individuals in defining the future. This position will be
located in Rancho Bernardo, CA. This position may be filled by
either at the Principal Cyber Systems Engineer? level OR at the Sr.
Principal Principal Cyber Systems Engineer? level based on the
qualifications listed. The selected candidate will support
programs, identify cybersecurity risks, and design, develop,
integrate, test, and verify system security solutions. The
candidate will be responsible for identifying cybersecurity risks,
working with stakeholders to develop a technical and programmatic
plan for remediation, and driving the incorporation of
cybersecurity improvements into the weapon system. This role
requires in depth knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF)
and the ability to develop artifacts (RAR, SSP, POA&M, SAR,
SCTM, ConMon) to achieve and maintain and ATO. Tasks include, but
are not limited to: Author, and maintain cybersecurity program
documentation & RMF package artifacts: Cybersecurity Strategies,
System Security Plans, Continuous Monitoring Plans, Risk Assessment
Report, Security Control Traceability Matrix, Plan Of Actions &
Milestones, etc Support the architecture and design of
cybersecurity requirements and protections Implement and review
traceability of requirements to the design & its models Experience
implementing cybersecurity artifacts in Model Based System
Engineering (MBSE) Architecture Provide cybersecurity system
engineering implementation guidance and oversight to technical
teams Implement, review and assess cybersecurity system
requirements verification/validation methods Basic Qualifications:
Principal Cyber Systems Engineer: (T03) Must have a Bachelor’s
degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
discipline from an accredited university AND 5 years of related
professional/military experience in Engineering; OR a Master’s
degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university AND 3
years of related professional/military experience in Engineering;
or a Ph.D. AND 1 years of related professional/military experience
in Engineering. Must have an Active, In-Scope, DOD Secret Security
Clearance or higher that has been granted / renewed within the past
6 years. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special
Program Access (PAR/SAP). Basic Qualifications: Sr. Principal Cyber
Systems Engineer: (T04) Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a Science,
Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an
accredited university AND 8 years of related professional/military
experience in Engineering; OR a Master’s degree in a STEM
discipline from an accredited university AND 6 years of related
professional/military experience in Engineering; or a Ph.D. AND 4
years of related professional/military experience in Engineering.
Must have an Active, In-Scope, DOD Secret Security Clearance or
higher that has been granted / renewed within the past 6 years.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access
(PAR/SAP). Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience working on
weapon systems Prior experience working in restricted facilities
Current/active Top-Secret clearance Active DoD Cyber Workforce
Framework (CompTIA Security) certification or able to obtain within
6 months of hire Direct experience developing RMF assessment and
authorization artifacts in accordance with NIST SP 800-37 Prior
experience working in a Model Based System Engineering (MBSE)
Architecture Experience linking requirements to design elements,
traceability matrices, and change impact analysis Experience
modeling and analyzing cybersecurity threats using the MITRE
ATT&CK framework Primary Level Salary Range: $125,300.00 -
$187,900.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $156,400.00 - $234,600.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however,
Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining
base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the
position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and
current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may
be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary
bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to
reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share
in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director
positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition,
