talented AI/ML and Data Scientists to develop the next breakthrough
tools that will alter the way we work and expedite time to result

This role will be key to driving the AI projects to realize new
efficiencies in all areas of the business.This is a key technical
role in our growing AI team contributing to the design and
development of our instrument platforms within the Instrument
Software & Systems organization. The right candidate for this
position will be an experienced AI Engineer who has demonstrated
success in leading AI projects and initiatives that support
continuous improvement in R&D, Operations, and Commercial
teams.What You'll Work On
- Drive and develop AI technologies and solutions that provide
transformational impact to the functions of our business.
- Develop and implement industry-leading GenAI, statistical
models, and machine learning algorithms to analyze diverse sources
of data, ensuring they meet business requirements and are delivered
on time.
- Develop and Maintain AI Pipelines: Ensure smooth operation of
data and model training pipelines and troubleshoot any issues that
arise.
- Tune and Optimize Models: Adjust and refine pre-existing
generative AI models to enhance performance, adapt to new data, or
meet specific project requirements.
- Knowledge and experience in developing RAG systems using Azure
or other platforms. Integrate with LLMs for improved
performance.
- Use state-of-the-art methods to interpret and analyze data from
multiple angles, identify patterns, trends, and insights.
- Build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms to
forecast future trends and outcomes.
- Design and implement APIs for exposing data and models,
ensuring they adhere to best practices in software
engineering.
- Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, and business
teams to implement models.
- Stay abreast of the latest AI research and technologies,
evaluating and adopting them to maintain our competitive edge.
- Communicate complex AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders,
facilitating informed decision-making.Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering
(Mathematics/Physics), Information Systems, or related field.
- 10+ years of Software Engineering, or related work experience
or Master's Degree and 7+ years of work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in AI/ML technologies and 1 year of
GenAI experience.Preferred Qualifications
- M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering
(Mathematics/Physics), Information Systems, or related field.
- Advanced skills in Generative Models: Knowledge of models,
fine-tuning foundation models like GPT-4, and understanding their
architecture, training processes, and applications.
- Natural Language Processing (NLP): A strong understanding of
NLP to work with text generation and analysis. Experience with
large language model frameworks such as spaCy and LangChain.
- Experience in model development for time series data, signal
and image processing.
- Proven track record of developing AI solutions and deploying to
production environment.
- Deep understanding of AI/ML algorithms, data structures, and
software engineering principles.
- Expertise with at least one cloud computing platform (e.g.,
AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and NoSQL databases. Familiarity
with machine learning frameworks (like Keras, PyTorch, TensorFlow)
and libraries (like scikit-learn, scipy, and statsmodel). Good
knowledge of additional programming languages such as .NET Core and
Java.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate
technical concepts to a variety of audiences.
