Associate in the Audit department is responsible for assisting the
Audit department with planning and administration of assignments by
drafting financial statements, conducting financial audits, and
verifying the financial information of an organization. Supervisory
Responsibilities: None. Duties/Responsibilities: • Analyze
accounting records to determine financial status of establishment
and prepares financial reports concerning operating procedures. •
Inspect items in books of original entry to determine if accepted
accounting procedure was followed in recording transactions. •
Inspect notes receivable and payable, negotiable securities, and
cancelled checks. • Participate in the planning and coordination of
audits. • Perform audits. • Review data regarding material assets,
net worth, liabilities, capital stock, surplus, income and
expenditures. • Stay current on the latest GAAP practices and
knowledge of GAAP matters. • Travel (up to 30%) to client site as
needed. • Verify journal and ledger entries of cash and check
payments, purchases, expenses, trial balances by examining and
authenticating inventory items. • Perform other related duties and
projects as assigned. Education and Experience: Required: •
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Business, or
other related field. Preferred: • CPA exam eligible candidates. •
Prior audit or accounting work experience (Audit, Tax, and
Bookkeeping). Required Skills/Abilities: • Able to manage multiple
tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines. • Able to work independently
and as part of a team. • Excellent verbal and written communication
skills. • Excellent organizational and time management skills. •
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software. •
Proficient with QuickBooks. • Strong problem solving and analytical
skills. • Strong professional service ethic, client focused, and
results driven. Physical Requirements: • Prolonged periods sitting
at a desk and working on a computer. • Must be able to lift up to
