My client is looking for a Product Development Coordinator or
and Associate Product Development Manager. This person will be
crucial in helping the company with marketing strategy and product

- Conduct research to comprehend and analyze the competitive
landscape within designated categories.
- Foster connections with all cross-functional teams.
- Establish rapport with relevant suppliers.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of the product development
lifecycle for each assigned category.
- Take the lead in managing the product development process for
New Product Introductions (NPI) within the designated
categories.
- Evaluate and outline financials for all Stock Keeping Units
(SKUs) in the assigned categories.
- Publish schedules for all NPI launches within the designated
categories.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Media, Finance,
Operations, Planning, Quality, Sales) to ensure adherence to NPI
timelines.
- Oversee pricing strategies for NPI and existing SKUs in the
designated categories, continually monitoring profitability to meet
gross margin objectives.
- Coordinate NPI launches with suppliers, negotiating pricing,
tooling, and timelines.
- Assume ownership of designated product portfolios, becoming the
primary subject matter expert across all SKUs within the assigned
categories.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on NPI progress
throughout each development phase on a monthly basis.
- Participate in monthly Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP)
meetings to ensure alignment with category budgets.
- Monitor and evaluate SKU performance based on Point of Sale
(POS) data, profitability, and customer feedback.
- Collaborate with Operations on initiatives for dual-sourcing to
drive cost reductions and address supply chain gaps.
- Work with Quality to enhance product performance as issues
arise.
- Partner with Planning & Finance to assess SKU performance and
potentially rationalize SKUs as necessary.
- Identify and engage with new strategic suppliers.
- Explore and generate innovative concepts and ideas based on
market trends, competitive analysis, and emerging
technologies.Profile
- 2+ years of Product Development and Project Management
experience within the CPG industry, preferably from the Personal
Care or Chemical industry.
- Bachelor's Degree is a plus
- Demonstrated proficiency in meeting deadlines and successfully
delivering projects, coupled with a resilient mindset geared
towards surpassing targets.
- Effective interpersonal abilities combined with a strong sense
of accountability and ethical conduct, fostering productive
relationships across organizational hierarchies and with external
service providers.
- Outstanding communication skills with a track record of
consistent follow-through actions, ensuring a high ratio of
promises made to promises kept.
- Adaptability in dynamic, high-pressure environments
characterized by demanding workloads and stringent timelines.
- Robust analytical capabilities enabling the translation of data
into actionable proposals, facilitating informed decision-making
processes.
- Passionate about instigating change through persuasion and
adept at influencing individuals with diverse viewpoints.This
